Corrode

Kristen’s art practice is in response to entering new sites as a post-colonial settler on traditional Lands. Discourses of disruption, touch, encounter, and trace are key components considered with her onsite field work in connection to the Australian context of Country. These elements have assisted situating Kristen’s body in place in connection with historical events politically, culturally, industrially, and environmentally. The sculptural assemblages are made from the outback landscape of far North West NSW on the Traditional Lands of the Pantykali people, Mutawintji.
